Ms Bryan, could you tell us what makes a good teacher?
Yes, of coursc. Г1! be happy to. It’s really hard to decide who’s a bad teacher or a good teacher.
What I do know for sure is that the teacher’s personality is crucial for students’ love for the subject
I did have a lot of good teachers. My English teacher was a very good teacher and she encouraged us to have enthusiasm for reading literature and excitement for writing.
And she used to encourage us to write things for ourselves. I do the same with my pupils. Wc speak much about poetry during our English lessons. ! encourage my students to write their own poems. Then we publish these poems in our school.
Wc share our poems and our good attitude towards life with others.
1 think that the best teachers are those who encourage their pupils and make them enthusiastic.
Ms Hiycifi. do you think teachers should be strict nowadays?
1 believe that the teachers should be firm but I don’t think they should be overslrict.
Because the teacher who is overstrict crcatcs a kind of passive indifference, he doesn’t create an indi iduality or enthusiasm.
I believe in ways of teaching which consider the whole child as important The children arc human beings first rather than empty things to be filled up with knowledge.
I believe that we should encourage pupils to contribute with enthusiasm.
And it’s easiest for them* to contribute with enthusiasm when the lesson concerns something they arc interested in: their own lives or the lives of their families, or their relatives, or their pets or where they live. They know so many interesting things about the life.
I’m proud of my students. 1 know they are the best.

У меня было много хороших учителей. Моя учительница английского была очень хорошей, она вдохновляла мае любить чтение и воодушевляться письмом.
‘Гак же она вдохновляла нас писать для самих себя. Я делаю то же самое со своими учениками. Мы много говорим о поэзии на наших уроках английского. Я вдохновляю своих учеников писать собственные стихи. Потом мы печатаем эти стихи в нашей школе.
Мы делимся нашими стихами н нашим позитивным отношением к жизни с другими людьми. Я думаю, что лучшие учителя — это тс, кто вдохновляют своих учеников и азражают их энтузиазмом.
Мисс Ьрайен, как вы считаете, сейчас учителя должны быть строгими?
Мне кажется, что учителя должны быть уверенными с своих силах, но не думаю, что они должны быть слишком строгими. Потому что строгий учитель создает нечто вроде пассивного безразличия, он не создаст индивидуальности или энтузиазма.
И самое простое для них, это это делиться энтузиазмом, когда уроки касаются того, что им самим интересно: их жизней или жизней их семей, или родственников, или домашних животных или тех мест, где они живут. Они знают столько всего интересного о жизни.
Я горжусь своими ученикам. Я знаю, что они лучшие.
